Day one of just another journey
Meandering paths ahead
The abandoned highways overgrown
Straightforward traveling out of reach
Uncertain hitchhiking instead
Will I get a ride by donkey cart or limousine
Spending precious time waiting on the side
Joining pilgrims on their way to redemption
Worn-out shoes, an empty stomach
Lots of anger and personal grieve to hide
Traveling on these winding brick roads
Through a country full of gazing slaves
Climbing energy-absorbing hills and
crossing hidden deathtrap valley meadows
To them, it’s me who misbehaves
For I’m just a quirky lonely wanderer
Unable to adjust to those bigger dreams
Faced with a forgotten reality by the masses
Evolved into an odd and unwanted character
Slowly getting deaf from hearing all those screams
